The Atlantic Chase simulates the naval campaigns conducted in the North Atlantic between the surface fleets of the Royal Navy and the Kriegsmarine between 1939 and 1942. It uses a track system to model the fog of war that plagued commanders during this period. Just as the pins and strings that adorned Churchill's wall represented the course of ships underway, players place track lines on the game's shared board, each line representing the course of a strike group. Without resorting to dummy blocks, hidden moves or a double-blind system that requires an umpire or computer, players experience the uncertainty inherent to this period of naval warfare.
