The Splendor Duel: The Counterfeiters is a Splendor Duel expansion by Space Cowboys that adds new strategic options to two-player matchups. Designed by Marc André and Bruno Cathala, the expansion introduces Counterfeiter cards, Glassware tokens, and new Royal cards, enriching the familiar gameplay of Splendor Duel.
In the expansion, the Counterfeiters bring new capabilities to the game and create more options during each match. The new Glassware tokens integrate into the existing mechanisms, while the additional cards expand the available strategies and combinations that the two opponents can leverage.
The The Counterfeiters expansion includes 17 Counterfeiter cards, 4 Glassware tokens, and 4 new Royal cards. The new elements are designed to integrate into the base game, adding greater variety and asymmetry. Proper management of the available options, timing, and adaptation to the opponent's moves become even more significant.
At the same time, the expansion maintains the competitive character and duration of the base game. It does not replace the familiar mechanisms of Splendor Duel but enriches them with additional capabilities, giving players new ways to develop their strategy.
As a Splendor Duel expansion, The Counterfeiters is primarily aimed at those who already have the base game and want to add more variety to their duels. It is an expansion for 2 players that offers new decisions and different combinations while remaining true to the strategic experience of Splendor Duel.
