Golem – Strategy Board Game by Cranio Creations

Prague, 1584. In the dark attic of the Synagogue, Rabbi Loew completes the final step of a daring creation. A human form made of clay awaits the word that will grant it life. The eyes of the Golem open — but the creation of such a powerful being always has its price.

Golem is a complex strategy and engine-building board game for 1–4 players, based on the Jewish legend of the Golem of Prague. Players take on the role of scholars studying ancient books, collecting knowledge, crafting valuable artifacts, and creating powerful clay creatures. At the beginning of each round, colored marbles fall into the three-dimensional Synagogue and are divided into five action rows. The marble you choose determines both the available energy and the area of Prague in which one of your students will move. The more marbles there are in a row, the stronger the corresponding action becomes.

You can create and activate Golems, acquire clay and knowledge, craft artifacts from gold, or study books that offer new abilities and points. However, the Golems move through the streets of Prague and must remain under the control of your students. If they go too far, they can become dangerous and destroy everything they encounter.

Golem combines action drafting, worker placement, set collection, and variable player powers in four dense rounds. It also includes an Automa system for solo play. It is primarily aimed at experienced players who love challenging Eurogames, chain actions, and building a powerful production engine.
