For Glory is a dueling and deckbuilding game for 2 players. Players take on the role of owners of gladiator schools in ancient Rome. The game uses a two-phase system for deckbuilding and combat. During the Brawls Phase, players recruit gladiators, secure the support of powerful patrons, increase their income, and train their gladiators in a variety of tactics. When the crowd’s thirst for blood becomes insatiable, the game moves to the arena phase, in which players control their gladiators in different arenas to fight their opponents’ gladiators for glory. Each gladiator has a unique set of stats and a unique ability. The right synergies between gladiators often mean the difference between death and glory. During arena fights, players also play tactic and reaction cards from their hand to support their gladiators or turn the tide of battle. The first player to win six glory by winning arena battles is the victor and will go down in history as Rome’s greatest lanista.
