The African Campaign, Designer Signature Edition, marks the return of a true classic wargame by John Edwards, which has been redesigned and updated with this brand-new edition. This two-player game, which has been described by many as “the Afrika Korps properly executed”, allows players to explore the fundamentals of the Desert War, beginning in December 1940 with Wavell's first attack, Operation Compass, against the Italian forces of Marshal Graziani, and culminating in December 1942, when the Americans landed on Rommel's rear, thus sealing the final fate of the Afrika Korps.

The African Campaign recreates the ebb and flow of battle and the intense action in the desert, as the pendulum swings and both sides launch large attacks during the North African Campaign. The game is fast thanks tothe few opponents, while capturing the key aspects of the campaign, such as supply, ports, replacements, Axis fuel, strategic movement, air power, Flak units, minefields and much more.

This Designer Signature Edition provides a revised treatment of the Jedko, 2nd edition with new optional rules and variants, as published in Panzerfaust/Campaign #74 (July-August 1976). This edition serves as the ultimate treatment of the game, a tribute to the original classic design of John Edwards. While the standard game remains faithful to the original, we have added bonus material to explore other aspects of the Desert War without sacrificing the game's playability. All components have been upgraded and include a larger playing surface (1.5 maps) and counters 5/8″ to offer an optimal gaming experience that can be completed in a single session, for both grognards and newcomers to enjoy.
