Julian Alfred Pankratz, Viscount of Lettenhove, commonly known as Dandelion (Polish: Jaskier) is a poet, composer, bard and Geralt's best friend. The Polish word jaskier actually refers to the buttercup (Ranunculus). Some of his most famous ballads concerned the relationship between Geralt and Yennefer. At the time of the saga, Dandelion was already in his 40s. However, people said he looked as if he were in his 30s (“You're almost 40, you look 30, you imagine you're 20 and you behave like you're 10”, as Dijkstra noted)- he was often mistaken for an elf. Dandelion accompanies Geralt in many of the short stories and ends up joining Geralt's company during the search for Ciri, but he left it before the attack on Stygga. Dandelion makes Geralt promise that he will return with Ciri to Touissant where Dandelion lives. Later he will meet Geralt again and will witness the deaths of Geralt and Yennefer in Rivia.
In the television series, Jaskier is portrayed by Joey Batey.
