Lord of the Rings Figure: Legolas (18cm)

A release from Diamond Select Toys! Form the Fellowship ! The new epic action figure line from The Lord of the Rings begins with the original odd couple, the dwarf Gimli and the elf Legolas! Each 7-inch scale figure features 16 points of articulation, detailed sculpting and a full set of accessories. Each figure is packaged in a color window box with a tag and each figure comes with a piece of Sauron. Collect the entire line to assemble the evil Sauron standing 33 cm tall! The sculpting was carried out at Gentle Giant Studios.

The Fellowship of the Ring

Prince Legolas is one of the most important protagonists of J.R.R. Tolkien's legend, who appears in his award-winning trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings”. He is the son of King Thranduil and the grandson of Oropher. Throughout the trilogy, he is a companion of Gimli and Aragorn and a master archer, as well as the crowned prince of Mirkwood. His friendship with Gimli resolves the long-standing rivalry between their two races.

Having made up with his father, Legolas goes to attend Lord Elrond's meeting about the One Ring, which was found after centuries of its absence, and to reunite with Aragorn, while a rivalry begins with one of the dwarves, Gimli, who resents Legolas because his father, the King, imprisoned his own. During the Council, when one of the Council members, Boromir, ridicules Aragorn because he knows things about the One Ring, Legolas defends his old friend and declares that Aragorn is not a mere ranger, but is Aragorn, son of Arathorn, and that Boromir, as a man of Gondor, should owe him allegiance. However, Aragorn, in Elvish, tells Legolas to sit back. Boromir states that Gondor has no king and does not need one, and continues to mock the prevailing situation, mainly stating that they cannot enter Mordor due to the high security and the climate. Legolas shouts in rebuttal that the Ring must be destroyed, just as Lord Elrond said. However, this provokes a spark of dissent among the members and they begin to argue, except for Frodo, who states that he will be the one to take the ring to Mordor, but says that he does not know the way there. Legolas offers his services to Frodo, as do Boromir, Gandalf and Aragorn. Gimli also joins, to Legolas's great dismay, but the two of them will have to learn to cooperate. Three more hobbits, Samwise Gamgee, Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck, will also join later, thus marking the beginning of the Fellowship of the Ring.
