Horror on the Orient Express: New Monstrosities Expansion
The Horror on the Orient Express: New Monstrosities Expansion brings even more nightmares to the legendary train of Call of Cthulhu, adding three brand new types of Monsters to Horror on the Orient Express: The Board Game. Each new creature has different properties and behaviors, increasing the variety, intensity, and replayability of the cooperative horror board game.
At the start of each game, players can choose monsters from the core game or from the New Monstrosities Expansion, creating different combinations of opponents. The main restriction remains: there must be Monsters of three different colors in the game. Thus, different setups create new threats and require different strategies.
The new red Monsters initially appear as mysterious women, but their human form hides a bloodthirsty, plant-like creature. The blue winged monsters abduct Passengers from the train and plunge them into terrifying visions, spreading madness. The green creatures move in swarms and can invade the cars, making the journey even more dangerous.
The expansion includes 7 flying Monster miniatures with transparent bases, 5 abducting Monster miniatures, 3 Flower Lady miniatures, and 3 new Monster cards with unique abilities.
For fans of Call of Cthulhu board games, Lovecraftian horror games, cooperative board games, miniatures, and mystery games, the New Monstrosities adds new tactical challenges without changing the core of the game.
Attention: Requires the Horror on the Orient Express: The Board Game. It is not played standalone.
