The Topoum Board Game is an inventive strategy board game set in 1916, during World War I. However, here the soldiers are not humans… but moles! In a war-ravaged world, a fertile land remains and is fiercely contested by armies of moles. As the general of this unique battle, you must organize your forces, place your soldiers precisely and score points by creating lines of sight between them.
The Topoum board game offers huge variety, thanks to the deck-building system with 110.000+ card combinations. There are four main categories of cards: battle, movement, expansion and special. In each round, players choose whether to introduce a new mole into the battle, by playing one card as required, or whether to move their soldiers on the battlefield, optionally playing one card per unit. They then score points for the uninterrupted lines of sight they create on the board.
The twist comes with the hidden “Peace” card, which is at the bottom of the deck and once it appears, the game ends. Players earn additional points for majorities and card sets, creating an intense battle of tactics and resource management.
The Topoum board game combines abstract strategy, tactical movement and card management, offering high replayability, fast gameplay and strong interaction between the players.
