The Rich and the Good
Players are stockbrokers during the Second Industrial Revolution, trying to make as much money as possible while also appearing to be good citizens by donating money to charity. During the game, players buy or sell shares and then manipulate stock prices with the cards they share with their two neighbors. In addition, players donate shares to charitable organizations, which are sold at the end of the round for the charitable donation. Whoever donates the least to charities by the end of the game automatically loses, regardless of how wealthy they have become.
The game uses a common-information system, where each player knows a little about what is going to happen in the markets, with each player knowing different pieces of information. The player who makes the most money at the end of the game is the winner, provided that they are not the one who made the fewest charitable donations.
