(called Signoria) and the emergence of noble families, more ambitious. Having acted for years in the shadows, the time has finally come for them to take control of the cities and form a new Italy. Their stories will mark History.

In Signorie you take on the role of a Signore, Lord of a renowned Renaissance family. You try to strengthen your influence and build a strong dynasty by creating Alliances with the six most famous Houses of the era. You must wisely choose the fate of your descendants, direct the men of your family into one of the three spheres (military, ecclesiastical or political) and send them to carry out important diplomatic missions at the right place and time or arrange marriages for the women of your family.

Twenty dice in five colors are rolled at the start of each round. In turn, players choose a die, place it on their board and perform the corresponding action. The color of the selected die determines the possible actions and its value shows how much the action's cost is reduced. Hiring assistants will make your future actions more powerful. This simple yet innovative dice mechanism offers players simple but at the same time interesting choices. During a round, each player can perform up to four actions. As money is often scarce, it is tempting to take the highest die values, but you should be aware that at the end of the round only one bonus is awarded to the players whose total of dice is less than or equal to 13.
