March of the Ants is a 4X strategy board game, where players control ant colonies and compete for dominance on the meadow. The new Evolved Edition offers refreshed art, improved mechanics, new Rest cards and battles in the Great Tunnel, as well as wooden ant meeples that give it a distinctive aesthetic.
In the game you'll explore new territories, evolve your ants with unique traits, and claim strategic points to grow your colony. Players are called to choose among various tactics: from martial assaults and rapid expansion, to careful management and evolutionary development.
This is a 4X board game (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate) with a relatively short playtime for the genre – it completes in about 90 minutes while still offering depth. The Evolved Edition is aimed at gamers who love evolution, adaptability and open-board competition.
