Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun
4000 years ago, on the eastern bank of the Nile, the foundations of the Temple of the Amon- Ra have been placed. Over the next two thousand years that followed, the temple gradually grew. It became better known by the name Ipet-Isut, as the most important religious building in the world. Today, the site is known by the name Karnak and is located in the Louxor of Egypt.
The panel of the Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun is divided into six sectors, each connected with an Egyptian god : Horus, Ra, Hathor, Bastet, Thoth et Osiris. In the center is an impressive obelisk (Tekhenu) which casts its shadow over various parts of the board. Thus, the zone around the obelisk is divided into sunlit sectors, shaded and dark. Depending, of course, on how the obelisk casts its shadow at a given moment. As the game progresses, the path of the sun modifies the sunlit sectors.
In each phase you earn victory points by having the most workshops or quarries of any type, for the buildings that are built near the Amon-Ra temple complex, for the number of statues you have made, for the happiness of your people, or if you have managed to achieve maximum production.
You should also reserve resources to support your people, otherwise you will suffer negative consequences.
