The Golden Age of Piracy: 1718 is an exciting sandbox-style tactical strategy game set in the era of piracy in the Caribbean in 1718. Combining classic solitaire-style action mechanics, RPG elements and wargame mechanics, the game from Compass Games offers you an authentic experience of adventure, looting and naval combat.
How to play:
As a pirate captain, your journey begins with the goal of building fame, wealth and power. How will you do this?
- Attacking merchant ships and stealing their cargo
- Looting and burning colonial towns
- Gambling in the taverns of Nassau
- Kidnapping governors or their daughters
- Discovering buried treasures with maps you acquire
The player moves their pirate ship on the detailed map of the Caribbean, strategically choosing their moves: will they attack or visit the port for resupply and trade? Nassau is a central point for buying and selling goods, repairs and rest.
There is also the option to build a hidden pirate hideout, ideal for storing loot and for free ship repairs.
Goal:
The ultimate goal? To gather enough loot to buy your pardon from the king before the Royal Fleet attacks Nassau. If you fail, the gallows await you!
