Root: Homeland Hirelings Pack – Expansion
The Root: Homeland Hirelings Pack is an expansion for the beloved asymmetric strategy game Root by Leder Games, adding three new Hirelings to the Woodland and creating new tactical options in every game. The Hirelings can be used regardless of the number of players and are particularly useful in games with a lower player count, where they add more pieces to the board, tension, and new strategic possibilities.
The Root Homeland Hirelings expansion introduces the River Roamers, the Sunny Advocates, and the neutral Prosperous Farmers. Each faction has its own double-sided Hireling card and new wooden meeples, adding more variety to the world of Root.
With fewer players, the Hirelings gain a physical presence on the board and create more opportunities for interaction and tactical maneuvering. In games with more players, some Hireling cards can be used from their opposite side, providing different special abilities and new strategic combinations.
The pack includes a total of 27 screen-printed wooden meeples: 10 River Roamers, 8 Sunny Advocates, and 9 Prosperous Farmers. It also includes three double-sided Hireling cards, markers, tokens, four Farm Buildings, and a Hireling Control Die.
The Root: Homeland Hirelings Pack is an excellent addition for players who want even more variety, especially for those who frequently play Root with a lower number of players.
Attention: This is an expansion and requires the base Root to be used.
