You take command of either the Union (USA) or the Confederacy (CSA) and are called to lead your side to victory through military operations, political decisions, and careful resource management.
Designed by Gregory M. Smith, the Rebel Tide is based on the proven system of Imperial Tide and Pacific Tide. Each round represents a year of the war and consists of multiple card plays that allow movement, battles, fortifications, and other strategic actions.
At the heart of the Rebel Tide board game is the unique card re-buy system. Your annual production determines which cards you can acquire again for the next year. Your choices affect reinforcements, movements, and military operations, turning every decision into a critical part of the strategy.
On the field, we encounter infantry, cavalry, artillery, and historical leaders, while the Political Track simulates the potential support of England and France for the Confederacy. The flexible Resource Points serve as a valuable operational reserve.
Although the game was primarily designed as a 2-player wargame, it also includes a Solitaire Bot, allowing play by a single player.
