Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior (born 5 February 1992), known as Neymar Júnior or mononymously as Neymar, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team. As a prolific scorer and playmaker, he is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world as well as one of the greatest Brazilian footballers of all time. Neymar has scored at least 100 goals for three different clubs, making him one of four players to have achieved this feat.

Neymar became known at Santos, where he made his professional debut at the age of 17. He soon became the star of the Brazilian championship and won the 2011 Copa Libertadores, Santos' first since 1963. He was named South American Footballer of the Year in 2011 and 2012, and in 2013 he moved to Europe to join Barcelona. In his second season, as part of Barcelona's attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, called MSN, he won the continental treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League. Motivated to become the central player at club level, Neymar unexpectedly transferred to PSG in 2017 for €222 million, making him the most expensive player of all time. In his first season he excelled in French football, winning the league title and being voted Ligue 1 Player of the Year. Despite his recurring injuries in Paris, he helped PSG achieve a historic domestic quadruple in the 2019–20 season, and was an integral part of the PSG side that reached the club's first Champions League final, while he was included in the UEFA Team of the Year for a second time in his career.
