The Mansions of Madness: Path of the Serpent is an immersive expansion for the Mansions of Madness: Second Edition, which transports the investigators away from the dark streets of Arkham and leads them into the uncharted jungle of the Amazon. It enriches the beloved cooperative horror board game of Fantasy Flight Games with new stories, unique characters, terrifying creatures, and even more Lovecraftian atmosphere.
Investigators are called to uncover the secrets of lost civilizations, explore ancient temples and ruined cities, and stop an ancient curse that threatens the entire world. The dense vegetation, forgotten temples, and satanic rituals create a completely different exploration environment, filled with dangers and twists.
It adds three new digital missions through the free game app: The Jungle Awakens, Into the Dark, and Lost Temple of Yig. Each scenario features a different plot, new puzzles, and distinct challenges, significantly increasing the replayability of the game.
The expansion also includes four new investigators — Leo Anderson, Ursula Downs, Daniela Reyes, and Norman Withers — each with unique abilities that offer new strategic options in the missions. Additionally, four new monsters, new tiles, cards, items, Mythos Events, and additional elements are fully integrated into the app.
It retains the top mechanics of the base game, such as cooperative play, exploration, storytelling, dice rolling, app-driven gameplay, puzzle solving, and scenario-based adventures, offering even more hours of exploration and mystery.
The base game is required Mansions of Madness: Second Edition to use the expansion. If you want to expand the Arkham universe with exotic missions, ancient temples, and horrific reptilian creatures, the Mansions of Madness: Path of the Serpent is one of the best additions to your collection.
