This time, the focus is not on haute couture but on high… pastry, as players take on their own pâtisseries and compete for glory and prestige in the France of Louis XV.
Louis XV is hosting a grand festival in the gardens of Versailles, and the best pâtissiers are called to create impressive sweets for the occasion. Your goal is to outshine your competitors, gain prestige, and win the favor of the nobles.
The La Patisserie Rococo board game combines deck building and drafting with strategic management of staff and resources. In each round, you use staff cards to perform different actions: acquire new recipes, buy ingredients, bake and decorate sweets, present your creations to the jury, sell products, and hire new staff. Each worker has different abilities and bonuses, so the right choice of staff is an important part of the strategy.
Designed for 1–5 players, La Pâtisserie Rococo also includes a solo mode, while a game lasts about 60–150 minutes. The board is double-sided, with a different side for 1–3 and 4–5 players, while the box includes player boards, staff cards, ingredient/topping tiles, recipe tiles, baking trays, and many more components.
