The expansion brings the game into the era of the Industrial Revolution in Scotland, adding new mechanisms, strategic choices and modular content that significantly enriches the experience of the original game.
The Clans of Caledonia Industria expansion introduces six new gameplay modules, which can be combined with each other to create different strategic experiences in each game. One of the most important new elements is the Railroad system, which allows players to transport goods via a developing railway network across Scotland. By delivering goods to cities, players gain bonuses, rewards and important milestones, while competing with other clans for economic dominance.
The Clans of Caledonia Industria expansion also adds new clans, map modules, scoring tiles and port tiles, significantly increasing the strategic depth and replayability of the game. Players can explore new economic strategies through production, trading and exporting goods in a market that evolves dynamically thanks to industrial development.
Another important element of the expansion is the solo Automa system, which allows players to enjoy the game alone against an automated opponent with adjustable difficulty levels.
