The Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure – Master Thief Edition is the updated version of the popular Clank! deck-building board game, returning in 2026 with improved gameplay, refreshed components, and new design. The Clank! Master Thief Edition sends you back into the dangerous depths of a dragon's lair, where your goal is to steal valuable artifacts, gather loot, and – most importantly – manage to escape alive!
In Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure, each player gradually develops their personal deck by acquiring new cards that enhance their abilities. The deeper you explore the dungeon, the more valuable the treasures become – but the danger also increases. Every careless move can cause CLANK!, drawing the dragon's attention and increasing the likelihood of an attack.
The Master Thief Edition is not just a visual refresh. It includes rebalanced cards, a refreshed map, separate Rage, Health, and Market boards, as well as new mechanics. The Ghost Cubes create additional dangers, while changes to the endgame and cards refresh the strategy of the classic Clank!.
The new edition also includes the Wandering Monsters mini-expansion, which adds new dangers to the tunnels. Dire Wolf confirms that the Wandering Monsters system uses 14 new Dungeon Deck cards and 40 Wandering Monster tokens.
The Clank! Master Thief Edition board game combines deck building, dungeon crawling, exploration, push your luck, and fantasy adventure into a competitive tabletop game for 2–4 players.
For new players as well as fans of the original Clank!, it is the modern edition of one of the most characteristic fantasy deck-building games from Dire Wolf.
