The A mysterious secret company “Cloud” sabotaged countless oil production facilities. And all of this happened fifteen years ago to destabilize the world. The resulting environmental disaster had devastating consequences for the entire planet. Now, years later, you travel above the dried-out landscape in your airships, searching for a better life. You visit cities, send unmanned aircraft to collect resources. And of course you fight the Cloud militia.
An innovative card-removal system enables a new, more immersive form of resource collection. Players try to predict which cloud-covered terrain will contain the desired amount of resources, or where additional actions are possible. Resources allow players to develop useful upgrades for their airships or to recruit new crew members.
CloudAge is a blend of engine-building, deck-building and resource management. The campaign system makes it easy to quickly start the game, while new elements are introduced into the game as players progress through the chapters. While you play, you also experience the story and help guide it. For a regular board game experience, you can also play standalone spin-offs of the story as individual scenarios, while still enjoying everything CloudAge has to offer!
