Stone Age (New Edition)
The days of the “Stone Age” were truly difficult. In their roles as hunters, gatherers, farmers, and toolmakers, our ancestors worked with their feet and backs braced against wooden plows in rocky soil. Of course, progress did not stop with the wooden plow. People have always sought better tools and more productive crops to make their work more efficient.
In the Stone Age, players live in this era, just as our ancestors did. They collect wood, break stones, and pan for gold from the river. They trade freely, expand their village, and thus achieve new levels of civilization. With a balance of luck and planning, players compete for food in this prehistoric age.
Players use up to ten tribe members each in three phases. In the first phase, players place their men in areas of the board that they believe will benefit them, such as the hunt, the trading post, or the quarry. In the second phase, the starting player activates each of the areas they have staffed in any order they choose, followed in turn by the other players. In the third phase, players must have enough food available to feed their populations, otherwise they risk losing resources or points.
The Stone Age (New Edition) game is for 2 to 4 players, ages 10+.
