The Wolves is a strategy game for 2-5 players. It's about the survival of the fittest, as you compete to build the largest and most dominant pack, claiming territories, recruiting lone wolves, and hunting prey. But be careful not to expand too recklessly into territories where your opponents thrive – they may lure members of your pack away.
A clever action-selection mechanism guides your choices. Each action requires you to flip terrain tiles that correspond to the terrain where you want to perform your action. These double-sided tiles mean that the actions you take this round will determine the types of terrain you can act in next round. As you take actions to expand your pack's control in each area, you also upgrade your pack's attributes, allowing you to take more aggressive actions as the game continues.
In three mid-game scoring phases, the strength in each area is calculated. At the end of the game, players collect points based on the VP tokens they earn in these scoring phases and the highest number of VP revealed on each of the six tracks on your player board. The player with the most VP wins!
