The Summoner Wars Second Edition – Master Set is an exciting tactical card game for 2 players, in which powerful Summoners and their armies clash for dominance in the fantasy world of Itharia. Designed by Colby Dauch and published by Plaid Hat Games, it combines card game, tactical movement, and dice combat in fast-paced and highly competitive encounters.
Each player takes on the role of a Summoner and commands a unique faction. Deploy units through the Gates, place them strategically on the battlefield, use different abilities and spells, and try to eliminate the opposing Summoner before they can do the same to you.
The game includes 6 different faction decks: Vanguards, Savannah Elves, Polar Dwarves, Cave Goblins, Breakers, and Fallen Kingdom. Each faction offers different units, powers, and play styles, creating great variety in the encounters. Overall, the Master Set contains 204 cards, 8 custom dice, a Battlefield Game Board, a rulebook, and tokens.
The Second Edition refreshes the original Summoner Wars with new artwork and an improved rules system, while maintaining the character of an expandable tactical dueling card game. Additionally, the deck building feature allows players to experiment with new strategies as they expand their collection.
With a duration of about 45–60 minutes, the Summoner Wars tabletop game is an excellent choice for those who love strategy card games, tactical board games, fantasy games, and games for 2 players, offering high replayability and intense direct confrontation.
