In the Sanctuary board game, you will find 135 unique zoo tiles, including animals, buildings, and special projects. In each game, you must discover the ideal combination of these to create the most successful zoo organization. The tiles provide different effects that help you achieve conservation and wildlife protection goals, while also increasing the appeal of your park.
Each player has four action cards, with the strength of each action determined by the card’s position. One card allows you to carry out projects, while the other three let you add animals from specific habitats – forest, rock, or water – enhancing the thematic experience.
Sanctuary is based on the principles of Ark Nova, but elegantly simplifies the mechanisms, making it more accessible without losing its strategic depth. The challenge of finding the best way to combine animals, buildings, and projects on your park map offers constant replayability and satisfaction.
