In Black Forest, you start with a small area that needs new buildings and animals. You’ll travel from village to village to ask for the help of the best specialists. By using the abilities of these specialists, you can collect resources, place new landscape tiles (e.g. lakes and fields), and build a variety of buildings, which come in four types. Choose the right buildings, place landscapes, start glass production, and expand your domain.
The resource wheels of Uwe Rosenberg, made famous in Glass Road (2013), return in ”Black Forest”. Two resource wheels on your board help you track your resources and production. The Black Forest continues the story – as the name suggests – in the Black Forest. Among other things, the main difference between the two games is the use of worker placement in ”Black Forest” instead of simultaneous action selection. A wide variety of buildings and their different effects offer many different paths to victory.
