In the Nevsky wargame, two opponents take command of the Russians of Novgorod and the Teutons, which include German and Danish landowners, as well as the Teutonic Order. Their goal is to gather troops, organize campaigns, and dominate the contested areas of the Baltic.
Players recruit lords and vassals, equip their armies, and manage critical resources such as food, transport, and money. Knights, cavalry, infantry, and militias participate in military operations, sieges, and battles.
The real challenge in Nevsky: Teutons and Rus in Collision lies in time management. The feudal lords serve for a limited time, so each campaign requires careful planning. The service calendar, command cards, and supply capabilities significantly affect the course of operations.
Battles are conducted with a unique force deployment system, while event and capability cards highlight the historical, cultural, and military peculiarities of the era.
