In the Coast Watchers Board Game players take on the role of Allied intelligence teams (Allied intelligence) or Japanese security forces, in an intense contest of strategy, covert missions and hidden movements.
The game uses stand-up blocks and facedown counters, creating a hidden information mechanic (hidden information mechanic) that enhances the element of tension and strategic thinking.
