12 Hours at Maleme – Tabletop wargame for the Battle of Crete
12 Hours at Maleme is a dynamic two-player tabletop wargame that recreates one of the most decisive moments of the Battle of Crete during World War II. It is published by Snafu Design and designed by Ivan Prat. The game depicts the fierce fight between German paratroopers and the 22nd New Zealand Infantry Battalion for control of Maleme airfield on 20 May 1941.
In this game, each player alternates unit activations aiming to capture strategic points such as Hill 107 or to prevent the opponent from doing so. Each unit can move, attack, or restore its battle status. Critical orders from headquarters provide new strategic options, while the clock ticks ominously: every time you roll a 6 on the die, time advances by 30 minutes, bringing the end of the battle closer.
It is a tabletop game ideal for those who love strategic wargames with historical accuracy, military tactics, and fast, intense gameplay. A perfect game for fans of the Β’ Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, the Battle of Crete, and small but rich-in-depth wargames.
Discover why 12 Hours at Maleme has already stood out in the Small Battles series and experience the intensity of 12 critical hours in a high-level strategy tabletop game.
