Rats of Wistar – Strategic Board Game
The Rats of Wistar is a strategic Rats of Wistar board game for 1–4 players, in which you take on a family of highly intelligent rats that managed to escape from the Wistar Institute. Your goal is to prove that your family deserves to lead the new colony.
Designed by Simone Luciani and Danilo Sabia, the game combines worker placement, card management, and changing action options. At the center of the game is an action wheel that rotates each round, altering the available bonuses and forcing you to constantly adjust your strategy.
During the game, you will explore the farm, complete missions, dig new rooms for your nest, and build beds. Meanwhile, items left behind by humans can be transformed into new inventions, while different mice can join your family and offer new possibilities.
The game progresses over 5 rounds, with multiple sources of Victory Points, allowing for different strategic approaches from game to game.
The Rats of Wistar is particularly aimed at those looking for a medium to high complexity euro strategy game with worker placement, engine/tableau development, and several combination possibilities.
