The The Lord of the Rings: Circle of Conflict is a strategic board game for 2-4 players, that transports the great conflict between the Free Peoples and the forces of the Shadow in Middle-earth. However, unlike most Lord of the Rings board games, here you do not simply choose one side: you control simultaneously forces of Good and Darkness!
The Free Peoples fight against the Shadow forces of the player to your left, while your own Shadow forces face the Free Peoples of the player to your right. This unique structure creates a competitive strategy game full of tough decisions, prediction, and interaction.
In each round, the dice determine the available options, but you decide how to utilize their results. You can recruit iconic characters like Gandalf and the Witch-king, bolster the armies of Mordor, or influence critical battles. The game combines dice drafting, hidden movement, resource management, strategy, and bluffing.
Meanwhile, the journey of the Fellowship unfolds. As Shadow, you can use the Nazgûl to locate the opponent's Fellowship, while as Free Peoples you try to move secretly towards Mount Doom avoiding the watchful eye of Sauron.
The Circle of Conflict offers a different approach to The Lord of the Rings games, combining fantasy themes, tactical gameplay, and competitive strategy in about 60 minutes.
