Sidereal Confluence: Remastered Edition

In Sidereal Confluence each player chooses one of the nine unique and asymmetric alien races that have banded together to form a trading confederation in their quadrant. Each race has its own deck of cards representing all existing and future technologies it can research. Some races also have other cards related to unique features of their culture. These cards represent portions of the culture's economy and require the expenditure of some number of resources to use them, resulting in the production of more resources, ships and possibly victory points. Since the outputs of each culture rarely match their inputs, players must trade goods with each other to run their converters, in order to generate the resources they actually need to run their society more efficiently and have an effective economy. Almost everything is tradable, including colonies, ships and all kinds of resources.

Each round of the game includes an open trading phase in which all players can negotiate and make deals for resources, ships, colonies, even for the temporary use of technologies! Players with sufficient resources can also research technologies, upgrade colonies and spend resources on their faction's special cards during this phase. Once it is complete, all players simultaneously run their economies, spending resources to gain more resources. This is followed by the Confluence, starting with players sharing recently researched technologies with all the other races and then submitting bids to acquire new colonies and research teams. Researching a new technology awards many victory points for the prestige of aiding the progress of galactic society. When a race builds a new technology, it shares it with all the others. Technologies can be upgraded when combined with other technologies.
