Shobu
The Shobu is an abstract strategy game for 2 players. The game includes 4 square wooden boards (2 in each color) and 16 stones for each player, in two colors, with a dividing rope between the boards.
Your turn takes place in two parts.
First, a player may place one of their stones up to two squares, in any direction (even diagonally). This is the placement move. Then, they make a more aggressive move which must be in the same direction and the same number of squares as the one they made before, in the placement phase. This is the "strike" that allows you to push stones on the board.
To win, you must withdraw all four of your opponent's stones onto one of the four boards.
