The Muppets Mayhem is an American musical comedy television series featuring the Muppet musical group Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. The series was developed by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta and Jeff Yorkes for ABC Signature and The Muppets Studio. The streaming service Disney+ released all ten episodes of The Muppets Mayhem on May 10, 2023. It received generally positive reviews from critics.
After 45 years of rockin’ and rollin’, the beloved Muppet band, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, set out on an epic musical journey with a young music executive named Nora Singh. She convinces the classic rockers to finally write, record, and release their first studio album. Hoping to save her moribund record label, Nora brings the band back – with Dr. Teeth, Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Janice, Lips, Zoot and Animal – into the fast-paced, modern music industry. But the laid-back style of the forever-cool, iconic band presents endless challenges. Enlisting the help of her social-media-savvy sister, Hannah, and an eccentric Mayhem superfan named Moog, Nora and the band meet some of today's biggest music superstars in their attempt to finally go platinum.
