Mansions of Madness: Horrific Journeys
The Mansions of Madness: Horrific Journeys is a deluxe expansion for the Mansions of Madness: Second Edition, which takes the investigators beyond the haunted mansions of Arkham and invites them to face terror in three dangerous journeys. The Mansions of Madness Horrific Journeys enriches the award-winning cooperative horror board game from Fantasy Flight Games with new missions, investigators, monsters, and mechanics, offering even greater variety and cinematic atmosphere.
In this new expansion, the heroes face horrific events aboard a luxurious transatlantic airship, on a passenger ocean liner, and on a train traversing the countryside of New England. Each journey unfolds into a struggle for survival, where sabotage, ancient forces, and terrifying creatures threaten not only the passengers but also the very means of transportation.
It adds three brand new digital missions, which fully utilize the free app of the game to create different developments, puzzles, and events in each game session. The expansion also includes four new investigators, new map tiles, new items, new cards, Mythos Events, and new monsters, such as amphibious creatures and dimensional entities that tear through the very fabric of reality.
The Horrific Journeys retains all the beloved mechanics of the base game, such as cooperative play, app-driven gameplay, exploration, storytelling, dice rolling, puzzle solving, and scenario-based adventures, while introducing unique environments and new narrative challenges that make each mission feel like an interactive thriller.
The base game is required Mansions of Madness: Second Edition to use this expansion. If you want to expand the world of Arkham with new stories, unpredictable journeys, and even more Lovecraftian adventures, the Mansions of Madness: Horrific Journeys is one of the most atmospheric expansions in the series.
