City of the Great Machine is a strategy board game that uniquely combines a steampunk aesthetic with artificial intelligence, asymmetric gameplay, and hidden movement. Set in a dystopian Victorian city floating in the sky, the game places players in a power struggle between the Great Machine and the Heroes who are trying to rally the citizens.

With 1 to 4 players, City of the Great Machine offers three game modes: solo, cooperative, or one-vs-many. Players controlling the Heroes try to spark uprisings in three different districts before the Great Machine’s Plan is completed. The opponent – either a player or the AI itself – controls the City and its mechanical guards to suppress every revolutionary attempt.

The modular board allows changing City layouts each time, offering high replayability and strategic depth. The Heroes move secretly, planning their actions based on available resources and the game’s dynamics, while the Great Machine builds its influence with increasing speed.
