Battle Line is one of the two best-selling games of all time! This new edition with a new theme is a two-player strategy card game based on the theme of medieval warfare. This re-themed edition of Battle Line features 60 beautiful new cards by illustrator Roland MacDonald. It also includes 10 colored “wildcards” tactics that give players additional flexibility and options. They also help make each new battle completely different from the previous one.
Battle Line lasts about 30 minutes to play. To win, you must create strong formations along your side of the battle line that are superior to those of your opponent. Victory goes to the player who wins 5 of the 9 battle flags (encirclement) or three adjacent flags (breakthrough). Based on the original design by Reiner Knizia, Battle Line improves and expands this game system, giving players even more tactical options and gut-wrenching decisions.
