Take command of an American battalion and lead your forces to victory on the battlefields of Europe! The Battalion Commander: Solitaire Europe WWII by Worthington Publishing is an exciting solo wargame and historical card strategy game that transports you to the military operations of World War II.
In Battalion Commander, you take on the role of an American lieutenant colonel, battalion commander, with the mission to capture enemy positions. You command four companies, each of which must secure three strategic objectives, effectively utilizing the available units and the cooperation of different arms.
This solitaire card game WWII is based on proper card management, careful planning of attacks, and dealing with the unpredictable nature of battle. You start with five cards in your hand, which represent military units ready to be deployed on the field.
In each round, you can play a battalion card for an attack, discard a card activating its special ability, or replace your entire hand. Your decisions determine the course of the operation.
To capture a target, you must form a sequence of three cards of the same color, without playing two units of the same type consecutively. Reconnaissance units offer additional options but do not count towards the three necessary cards for the attack.
Each successful capture offers Victory Points, but time is limited. Enemy Fire cards create new threats, and if the deck runs out before you can replenish your hand, the mission fails.
The Battalion Commander: Solitaire Europe WWII combines hand management, strategic planning, combined arms tactics, and a strong historical atmosphere.
