Board game Dracula vs Van Helsing – Duel of strategy & survival
Dracula vs Van Helsing is an asymmetric strategy board game for two players that recreates the eternal battle between Dracula and Professor Van Helsing. Designed by Maxime Rambourg and Théo Rivière, with striking illustrations by Weberson Santiago, the game offers an exciting experience full of tension and tactical thinking.
The game lasts up to five rounds. In each round, players take turns, starting with Dracula, drawing a card and choosing either to discard it or to exchange it with one of the five cards in their row, thereby activating the discarded card's ability. There are eight types of cards, each with unique effects that influence the players' strategy. Instead of drawing a card, a player may call the end of the round, provided there are at least six cards in the discard pile.
At the end of each round, players compare the five cards in their row, each corresponding to one of the five regions of the board. If Dracula has the highest card, a resident of the region is turned into a vampire. If Van Helsing prevails, Dracula loses one life point. Dracula wins if he converts all the residents of a region into vampires or if he survives until the end of the fifth round. Van Helsing wins if he removes all of Dracula's life points.
With a playtime of 20-45 minutes and a suggested age of 10+, Dracula vs Van Helsing is ideal for players seeking a quick but deep strategy game. Its unique theme and game mechanics make it an excellent choice for pairs looking for an intense and exciting experience.
