Revell: Bismarck (1:1200)
The Bismarck, the flagship of the German Kriegsmarine, was the largest German warship after the Tirpitz and had a displacement of 50,900 tons and a crew of 2,092. It was commissioned on 24.08.1940 and set sail on 18.05.1941 for Operation Rheinübung. Together with the Prinz Eugen, however, it was discovered early by British aerial reconnaissance. During the encounter with the Hood, it was sunk by the Bismarck on 24.05.1941. After a long pursuit, it was hit by an aerial torpedo on 26.05.1941 and engaged by the British battleships King George V and H.M.S. Rodney. On 27 May, its own crew sinks the Bismarck 490 km from the French coast.
