Pop! Figure Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Rui
Many years ago, Rui was born into a somewhat well-off family. He had a weak, fragile and easily stressed human body- even the very act of walking and breathing was difficult for’ him, resulting in him spending most of his life confined to his home and being cared for by his mother and father, who despite his frailty loved and cherished him deeply.
One night, Muzan Kibutsuji approached Rui, who offered to “save” him and transformed the boy into a demon. Now possessing a strong body, Rui was finally able to move freely for the first time. However, this happiness did not last long. As a demon now, Rui needed to take nourishment by eating humans, which led him to kill a person inside his house. The bloody scene was discovered by his parents, who were immediately terrified by what their son had done. Later that night, Rui woke up to his father raising a knife to kill him, while his mother sat beside him sobbing uncontrollably.
Rui after the murder of his parents.
He fatally wounded both of them and sat outside his house, reflecting on his actions and theirs. He remembers hearing a story about a man who drowned to save his son and how he was moved by the act of parental love. He thought that because his parents had tried to kill him, they must have been frauds, refusing to believe that they could even think of thinking of killing him.
However, as his mother was dying, Rui heard her apologize for not being able to give him a healthy body, which then made him remember his father's last words, who had promised that both he and his wife would follow Rui into the afterlife by committing suicide. He realized that his parents did indeed love him and were simply trying to prevent him from becoming a complete monster, throwing Rui into even greater emotional turmoil. Muzan appeared a little later and told the young demon that it was his parents' fault for refusing to accept his new form. Unable to bear the weight of his actions, Rui took Muzan's words as truth and believed them
