Chip and Dale are a pair of anthropomorphic chipmunks who made their debut in the 1943 film Private Pluto. The brothers are known for their high-pitched voices, voracious appetites and tendency for mischief, usually at the expense of others. Chip is recognized by his black “chocolatey” nose and his joined front teeth, while Dale has a larger red nose, two widely spaced front teeth and a tuft of hair on top of his head. Chip is the more logical and cunning of the two, with Dale being sillier and more carefree.
