In Near and Far, you and up to three friends explore many different maps in a quest for the Last Ruin. Throughout this quest you hire adventurers, hunt for treasures and compete to become the most storied traveler. You must gather food and equipment in town for long journeys to mysterious locations, making sure you don't forget to bring enough weapons. You'll have to fight bandits, living statues and rusted robots! Sometimes on your travels you'll come across something unique and one of your friends will read what happens to you from a book of stories. That way you'll have the opportunity to choose how to react, creating a new and memorable story each time you play.
Near and Far is the sequel to Above and Below and includes a book of encounters. This time the players read over ten sessions of gameplay to reach the end of the story. Each chapter is played on a completely new map with unique art and adventures.
