Looney Tunes Taz plush 30cm
The Tasmanian Devil (also Tazmanian Devil), commonly referred to as Taz, is a cartoon character who appears in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoon series from Warner Bros. Although the character appeared in only five short films before Warner Bros. Cartoons closed in 1964, marketing and later television appearances led Taz to renewed popularity in the 1990s.
Taz is generally presented as a feral, albeit dopey, carnivorous creature with a notoriously short temper and little patience. He got his name in the short film “Ducking the Devil”, where he is described as a “malicious, ill-tempered beast with jaws like a steel trap”. Although he can be very devious, he is also sweet at times. His enormous appetite seems to have no limits, as he will eat anything in his path. He is best known for his speech, which consists mainly of growls, roars and grunts (in earlier appearances he speaks English with primitive grammar), as well as for his ability to spin like a whirlwind and to bite almost anything. Taz has a weakness: he can be pacified by almost any music. While in this calm state, he can be easily dealt with. The only music known not to pacify Taz is the bagpipe, which he finds unbearable.
