Reiner Knizia's Iliad is a deeply strategic board game for 2 players, inspired by Homer's Iliad and the Mythology of Troy. At the heart of the epic clash between Achilles and Hector, players fight to gain the favor of the gods and to lead their side to victory.
The Iliad board game is based on a tile placement mechanism (tile placement), where each player plays tiles with strength 1 to 5, as well as the special “Dolos” tile that copies the opponent. Conflicts on the board are continuous and require tactical thinking, patience and proper timing.
Your goal is to earn success tokens, which grant points or the favor of the five gods. The player who gains the support of all the gods wins. Alternatively, the player with the most points at the end of the game will be declared the winner. The dual strategy (points or gods) creates excellent replayability and tension.
