Carpe Diem is an excellent strategy board game by acclaimed designer Stefan Feld, published by Ravensburger, and transports players to the Roman era, where they are called to build districts, trade and gather glory and wealth.
In the Carpe Diem board game, each player takes on the role of a Roman patrician attempting to develop their own district with buildings, landscapes, markets and villas. Through dynamic tile selection and tactical placement, they must seize the best opportunities to collect resources such as fish, grapes and fruit, trade them on the market and construct useful structures.
The game is played over 4 rounds and combines tactical thinking, resource management and multiple paths to victory, making it ideal for fans of eurogames and strategy.
The unique movement mechanic on the selection board adds depth and interest, as each decision affects the next moves.
