In an age when Babylon was the greatest city on Earth, humanity lived in peaceful ignorance of the grandeur, the immensity and the horror of the cosmos. After cataclysmic events on Earth the fragile veil between reality and the Void was shattered and the truth of existence was revealed. As humanity cried out for salvation, it was torn from its world by currents of the Void and the surviving peoples of Earth were scattered to the stars. Countless were lost and humanity seemed almost lost. Over the decades the survivors, the wanderers and the tattered remnants of humanity’s tribes struggled for their lives on countless indifferent worlds. Yet a few managed to rise above mere survival and travel the currents of the Void to gather at the mythic Llyhn, the center of the universe.

BLACK VOID is set in a distant past that is as familiar as it is strange with its dark and exotic atmosphere. As descendants of Earth's survivors, the characters can assume many roles such as:
