The life of a scribe in a monastery is not easy. Every day, you spend many hours in the monastery copying books, praying and performing duties. By working hard and praying, you earn the abbot's trust and demonstrate your dedication to the life of reverence.
The goal of the game is to score the most piety points.
The game takes place over 8 days (i.e. rounds). During the first 4 days, the players roll their dice simultaneously (which depict various types of books, the abbot's influence and travel points)and can do this three times . After each roll, players have three options :
to keep the dice with the result they rolled
to re-roll exactly one die
to roll all the dice
This is a unique game roll+write which includes auctions and in contrast to others roll+write games, it is very interactive. After 8 days, the game ends and the players calculate their points. As in the regular Biblios (Manuscripts of the Abbey) , the relative value of the books changes during the game in such a way that the players do not know which books will have the most value until the end
