Trails of Tucana is a flip-and-write game that is played quickly and easily but also has considerable depth.

Each player is given a map of the island Tucana, which shows the villages and the major attractions. The locations of the villages are random for each player. Thus each game offers a unique puzzle.
Each round, a player flips two terrain cards. Each player must draw a path between two adjacent spaces of the revealed terrains. Gradually, the paths will evolve into a network of roads. Players score points by connecting the same ports and by connecting attractions to ports. Being the first to connect a pair of ports provides bonus points.
To add depth to the game there is a different distribution of the various terrain cards. For example, mountain cards are rarer than desert cards. So it would be more difficult to build a path through a mountain range or over water than through desert or forest. Players must take this into account when planning their routes. And they should maximize the probability of being able to use any combination of terrain cards that may arise.
